A few rules for reading someone else’s notes

These pages are opinion and practical memory. They are not a contract with the cabaret, not a ticket, and not a promise that a particular seat will be free on a particular Tuesday. The operator’s own terms apply the moment you buy from them. Mine apply only to this website.

You may read, quote a short passage with a link, and disagree in an email. You may not copy the lot, dress it in another domain, and pretend a retired dresser wrote it for you. The photographs here are used as illustration for this notebook; they are not stock for a souvenir shop. The name of the famous cabaret, when it appears in a sentence, is a reference to a place in the world, not a claim that I speak as the place.

I am not affiliated with the venue. I do not warrant that a price, a timing, or a dress note will still be true next season. Wardrobe changes. Doors change. Maps change. Check the official site before you put on the shoes. If you rely on a single paragraph here and miss a train, that is unfortunate and also not something I can refund, because I never took your money.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell admission. If a third party’s advertisement appears near my pages in a search result, that is the search engine’s shop window, not a partnership in which I take a cut of a seat. Links to the operator’s homepage are there so you can leave me and go to the house. Links out are given as I found them; I do not control the other end.

The notebook can be wrong on a date. A dress note can age. A taxi rank can move. I correct pages when someone writes; I do not sit refreshing the operator’s programme every morning. Treat this as a dresser talking, then confirm the living details on the house site before you put money down. If a sentence here and a sentence there disagree, the operator wins. That is not humility. That is the only order that makes sense when I do not hold the keys.

French law governs this site because I live in France. If we ever have a dispute that cannot be settled by a civil email, the courts of Paris can hear it, which would be a very expensive way to argue about a balcony seat. Use the contact page first. Use the privacy page for data. Then go to the show, or do not. The feathers will go on without us.
